Essay Questions
1. What might happen to someone you were untransfiguring if you did not have a picture of them for reference? Please provide as much detail as possible in your answer. (5 points)
2. How might you, as a Healer, reverse a confundus charm? You may suggest any spell, potion, or other magical healing method you think appropriate, with reasons. (5 points)
Extra Credit
1. Choose one charm, jinx, curse or hex from any Harry Potter book (but that is NOT mentioned in the lesson), and provide a detailed account of what happens to the recipient of the spell, who might cast it (i.e., is it a harmful or healing charm?), and why it might be cast. (15 points)
2. We know that PolyJuice Potion is used to turn someone into someone else. Why, in your opinion, can transfiguration not achieve the same effect, given that if it worked it would last until the person was restored back to normal form, thus eliminating the need for hourly 'top-ups' of potion. Which would a healer rather treat? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each method with regard to what could go wrong? You may use examples from the books, and from your own imagination to illustrate your point. (15 points)
