Extra Credit (30 points)

1. What ingredients might be in Gunhilda of Gorsemoor's cure for dragon pox, and how do they work? Remember, this does not just alleviate symptoms, it gets rid of the bacteria causing the disease too! Also remember that it was invented in the 16th or 17th century, and hasn't changed since then. (15)

2. You are called in to see a patient who started giggling hysterically and uncontrollably about half an hour ago. Her friend, who brought the patient in, does not know what might have brought it on. She does not remember her eating or drinking anything suspect, in fact they have just had a nice lunch at the patient's house, and the only thing that was different about both their meals was that the patient had a large side-salad and a smaller meal, as she is on a diet, while her friend did not.
What do you suspect might be wrong with this patient, how would you try to confirm your suspicions, and how would you treat the patient? (15)
