Please choose SIX questions to answer, for five points each. For extra credit, please choose a further six questions, again for five points each. If you gain a minimum of 30 points from the exam and extra credit combined, you will pass the class and earn your Quill.

5. What healing techniques must an artifact accident healer be skilled in and why?
6. What, in your opinion, are the most important healing skills for a healer in the creature-induced injuries department?
7. You need to prepare a mandrake restorative draught. What must you do with the mandrakes to prepare them for the potion?
8. What steps would you take to treat a deep, potentially infected cut on a witch's forearm?
9. How would you handle the treatment of a wizard hastily transfigured into a teapot?
10. In what situations would the incantation 'finite incantatem' be useful? In which would it be useless? Why?
11. Phoenix tears can heal skin infections. Would it be reasonable to use this method of treatment routinely? What alternative might you use?
12. How would you extract a bezoar from the stomach of a goat?
13. What are the two best ways to be prepared for any type of poisoning?
14. Describe a magical plant that is both helpful and harmful. Give as many details about both of these aspects of the plant as you can, including its relevance to you as a healer.
15. Give examples of the ways potions are used in healing, and how potions may be harmful.
16. Why is transfiguration such a common magical accident, and why are these accidents so complex to repair? Are there any uses for transfiguration in healing?
